Christmas 2008

Well, the holiday season is quickly coming to an end. I love this time of year, but after a while, I'm glad to get back to our daily schedules and routines. I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and the New Year brings everything you desire.

Outside Play

With the weather in the 70's, we spent all day Saturday outside playing. Here is Katie while we were outside.

Here is Katie after she tried to stand in the swing. My little bruiser looks like she went 10 rounds with Ali. Her shiner should be nice and purple by Christmas.

Then today, Maddie lost her first tooth! It has been loose, and she has been so afraid of loosing it. I tried explaining to her that another tooth is underneath the one she was loosing, but she was inconsolable. I finally got it out of the little drama queen that she was afraid that all she could eat was applesauce since she wouldn't have any teeth!

So between Katie's black eye, and Maddie's missing tooth, my 2 princesses look more like hockey players!

Those Kindergartners sure know how to party! After a morning of playing games in her classroom, participating in a book exchange and making dough ornaments, they headed to Shepherd's Hall for their party. Since Maddie's school is so small they have a whole school party. They had lunch and then could go to several stations that were set up. If you know me, you know what table I "manned." The craft table of course! The children got to decorate wooden Christmas ornaments. The other two stations were making reindeer food and decorating a huge sugar cookie. There is a mom in the school who owns a bakery. Needless to say, she supplies all the cookies.

Today is Maddie's pajama day. They are watching Polar Express and having hot chocolate and cookies. She should come home on a sugar high!

Here are some pictures from her program on Tuesday I'm still going through video to see if there is anything useable so hang tight, I'll get it posted ASAP.

Love to all

Christmas Pictures

These 2 shots of the girls aren't very Christmasy, but their shirts say I (heart) Santa. I just couldn't resist these two shots. The next photo was totally unexpected. One of Maddie's friends had photos taken and the photog had her look surprised. Maddie remembered this and did it in the photo. Katie didn't put her hands up until the very last second and the camera snapped. The look on her face is priceless!

Well, we are off to Maddie's Christmas party this morning. I'm hoping that tonight I can get a video of her program posted. It was the cutest thing!
Until then ~j

Welcome Family & Friends

I know some of you have seen my Multiply site, but I'm moving to Blogger. Now you can view the "little extras" that go on in our lives without having to creat an account with Multiply. I hope you visit often and leave us some notes.

Today we are gearing up for Maddie's Christmas program at school. She is an angel. They asked her to be Mary, but my little fashionista said "NO, I want to be the angel cause she has a prettier costume!" What can I say, she definately knows what she wants. Tonight all of the school will put on their program and then we get to have punch and cookies with Santa. Katie is more excited about that than anything. The girls Parrain (God Father) and Aunt Nanny are driving up to come watch her sing. My parents will also be here. I hope Maddie doesn't freak out and just stand there with a frown on her face cause everyone is watching her. Hopefully, I can get a video tonight and post it tomorrow.

In the mean time, please join my blog so you can keep up with the "exciting" (lot's of sarcasim there) life of the LaCombes.
